We offer standards-compliant, compassion-based in-school, afterschool, and camp programs for children in Pre-K through 5th Grade that set a foundation for achievement and nurture a lifetime of giving back by empowering our youngest citizens to discover their unique superpowers to make the world a better place.
The GGC curriculum allowed me to teach lessons across core content standards. It also gave me the opportunity to model, teach, as well as have experiences that had compassion at the very heart of what we did as a class. I feel like my students left my class this year with an invisible cape attached to their backs as they enter first grade.
The educational program is not only fun and interactive for the students, but it also changes the way that the students interact with each other and with our school community. The program itself is extremely organized and teacher friendly. It’s amazing how one program can guide so much positive change in a classroom and in individual students.
Teachers showed a strong level of enthusiasm for the curriculum and its ability to empower students to give back while teaching them critical academic standards. Their perceived value of the curriculum was high with respect to it impacting students’ motivation to help others, their self-confidence, helping develop an overall positive classroom climate and the fact that it integrated the common core for language arts and NAEYC standards so easily and age-appropriately into their lesson plans.
