Valentine’s Day at Pottery Barn Kids

This Saturday was a heart-filled Valentine’s Day for GGC. We had our “Discover Your Heart” event hosted by Pottery Barn Kids Oxmoor and had an awesome turnout. We held 2 sessions with 30 kids showing up to color cards that were delivered to local nonprofits, design their own superhero capes, play games, create superhero stories, and learn all about the power of love and kindness for others! We had a blast working with the future of our community and getting them excited to learn about the importance of becoming a real life superhero for others. Students from our afterschool programs came out and boosted about how much they enjoy their school’s GGC program. One little girl spoke about her favorite badge being the Environment one and how the GGC program has made her more aware of trash she sees lying around and taking the time to throw it away.
