This challenge was truly awe-inspiring to me and it gave me another whole level of respect for those firefighters who gave their life and who saved many lives on 9/11. I participated the whole time throughout the challenge and I honestly had no idea how hard it was going to be, and I didn’t even have the firefighter gear on! I stair-stepped in place and I also had a set of stairs I was able to go up and down and switch between the two throughout the challenge. By the time we reached the 110th floor I was totally out of breath and exhausted! I can’t even begin to imagine how exhausted those firefighters were while going up those stairs. I will forever have the ultimate respect for those fire fighters who risked their lives to save others that day. Nor will I ever forget 9/11.
